An ‘intellectually solid’ person is an individual who understands their own body, tackles life with energy and vigor,and maintains a positive perspective on most things in life. Intellectually and emotionally strong people have mental fortitude and come back stronger when they encounter a problem in life; they can steer away from discouragement and tension and bring themselves back to a healthy mindset. This is a characteristic we can all learn and improve upon!

Throughout our lives, we will all encounter tough issues. Eventually, in our lives, we all encounter some type of agony, like losing a loved one or becoming ill, which can delete the inspiration needed to accomplish our day-to-day goals. Most of our fears never become reality, so why burn through an excessive amount of time contemplating them? Fear can fuel anxiety like a blazing fire and annihilate your positive disposition, but about it can also serve you. Fear keeps you sharp; it helps you to consciously realize what you must do to get by and gives you the energy to do it. The key is learning to control your fear as you would contain a blaze. Maintain your natural sense of trepidation when something doesn’t feel right and allow this to guide you into more sensible action, but don’t allow an overwhelming sense of fear to consume you in a fiery blaze. 

Gaining control of your psyche and achieving a state of genuine steadfastness isn’t something that can be accomplished in the short term, but it can be worked on over the long run. Slowly and surely, you can learn the process and start learning how to control your psyche.

  • ACE YOUR FEELINGS

Your prevailing thought frequently directs the outcome! If you believe you will fail, you have effectively persuaded yourself you will. Keep away from this mentality and instead think, I will do this! The force of positive reasoning will allow the best opportunity to prevail in your life. Relax, re-aligning your psyche with this mentality may require some time and effort; however, you will change your viewpoint from negative to positive through constant reiteration. Our feelings often inform the way we respond to pessimistic circumstances. It’s therefore important to comprehend and acknowledge your feelings and how they are guiding your choices. 

  • PUT FORTH NEW GOALS

Do you have abilities, talents, and interests that you have yet to explore? Now is the time to consider and pursue these. There is nothing more exciting than learning something new and seeing ourselves grow in new ways. Consider developing new habits so that you can make time to explore new opportunities. Need more energy? Consider starting an exercise routine. Challenge yourself to grow! Be all you can be!

  • MAKING AND INVESTIGATING A RUNDOWN IMPLIES RESPONSIBILITY

Think less and do more. It’s time to get the wheels rolling! A good starting point to becoming intellectually stronger is to record your goals. Why? This forces you to be genuine and take responsibility. Never again will you view your goals as a bogus guarantee to yourself.

We can decide to celebrate our success or consider why we are failing. ACTIVATION EXERCISES

❧ Shifting out of a self-critical mentality can be challenging. Feeling as though we are not enough can really take a toll on our mental and spiritual well-being. To start breaking this cycle, take a minute to reflect on what event might have started you on that path of self-doubt.

❧ Imagine that you are a mentor or friend to your younger self. Think back to a time when you were really struggling with self-doubt or feelings of sadness. What kind of advice, if any, would you have liked to have heard?

❧ You might be the kind of person who has always felt like you needed to be of service to others and anticipate the needs of others. Now it is time to ask yourself what your needs are. Rebuild that spiritual foundation by asking yourself what you need. Learning how to listen to your needs can take time. Start by setting time aside each month to engage in some form of self-care. This could be taking the time to prep healthy meals for yourself or sitting with a delicious cup of coffee or tea at a local park or nature center. Actively practice taking time to care for your mind, body, and spirit. Making the time and giving yourself the mental space to disengage from the busy, hectic world around you is essential when trying to rediscover yourself. Take the time during each of these self-care activities to really experience the joy and comfort that it brings.
